My Missoula: Submittable
Submittable helps thousands of organizations worldwide collect and review any type of content in one easy-to-use platform. We’ve collected more than 10 million submissions since we launched in 2010. We work with publishers, teams running contests, grantmakers, corporate giving committees, university programs, and more. In July we announced our $10M Series B raise led by Next Coast Ventures, and later this year we’re opening a child care center in our office in the Florence Building.
How long have you been in business?
Submittable started in 2010, we’ve been located in the Florence building since 2014. We started on the 3rd floor and expanded to the 2nd floor last year. Before that we had a small office about Sushi Hana.
Why did you choose to locate your business downtown?
We love being centrally located near all of the downtown activity with access to the Clark Fork river and all of the great places to grab lunch. It’s easy for us to bus, bike or walk to work, and as we’ve grown and expanded, the Florence Building has grown with us. (We’re really excited about the new Drum coffee in the lobby!) There’s also a great local tech community downtown. We’re in the same building as LumenAd, across the street from TOMIS, and near the new ClassPass offices. Everything, from networking to food, is within walking distance.
What are your favorite Missoula downtown patio spots and why?
We have almost 90 employees right now so most days you’ll find someone from Submittable eating lunch on the new Top Hat patio. We also love the patio at Scotty’s Table because it’s easy to bring your kids and enjoy a great meal after work. Brennan’s Wave lookout deck is a favorite spot on the way to Dragon’s Hollow. Did we mention all of the great food trucks and music during Out to Lunch? On the weekend it’s the Clark Fork River Market followed by a walk along Water Works trail overlooking Missoula.
