The 40th season of Out to Lunch kicks off on Wednesday, June 3, 2026!
ONE EPIC SUMMER. Live music, local food trucks, and Caras Park—Out to Lunch is back for one epic summer in the heart of Missoula.
Come soak up the energy and enjoy the HEART of Downtown!
Don’t forget to check out Out To Lunch’s sibling event, Downtown ToNight!

The Out to Lunch Summer Series in Missoula is a beloved weekly celebration of food, music, and community. Founded in 1986 by Pat Simmons—the first employee of the Missoula Downtown Association and mother of J.K. Simmons—the series was created to activate Caras Park and bring energy to Downtown Missoula. Today, it stands as Montana’s longest-running outdoor food and music festival. The event is free and open to all, made possible by the support of incredible sponsors. Each week features 15 food vendors serving up a variety of delicious eats and treats, live music to keep the energy high, and free children’s activities hosted by local nonprofits.

Here are some transportation and parking tips and tricks for when you head to Out to Lunch this summer!
- The first hour of parking is FREE in the parking garages
- Parking right next to Caras Park is in high demand. We recommend parking a little farther away to avoid traffic congestion (see the map below).
- Ride the Line! Mountain Line is a great way to come Downtown and save some gas. It’s also Zero-Fare and all routes come to Downtown!
- Ride the trails! Missoula has a terrific trails system, especially along the river and leading right into Caras Park. Get more information on biking, and generally commuting, around Missoula from Missoula in Motion.
